The EU powerhouse proceeds in the finals with seemingly no poised to stop them.
It's no secret that Team Liquid is the most powerful Heroes team in EU. It is also no secret that Tempo Storm enjoys the same reputation (maybe even more so) on NA servers, and when these two teams inevitably clash it will be one of the biggest matches in Heroes of the Storm history.
Maybe it is this mutual respect that causes Tempo Storm team manager Jared "Zoia" Eggleston to so openly express his frustration on EU teams and their inability to defeat Team Liquid:
Not every team has the confidence that Tempo Storm has, but perhaps Gamers2 could of used it today. During the first game of the match, Gamers2 had a commanding lead and almost finished the game until they team wiped outside of Team Liquid's core, leaving it at 6% HP. Several failed back door attempts later, Team Liquid managed to defend brilliantly and eventually win the game. That loss had to be hard on Gamers2.
From there, it was business as usual for Team Liquid. FalcoN even had a chance to play SGT. Hammer, something he used to do extensively a few patches ago. Now 2-0 against a team that looked so strong in game 1, Team Liquid continued to bully around Gamers2, this time on Blackhearts Bay. This game was the inspiration for Zoia's Jaina criticism, especially because Gamers2 positioned them selves so well for the comeback but were unable to secure the hero kill they needed to end the game.
Gamers2 may have another chance at facing Team Liquid if they make it through the losers brackets. Let's see some confident Jaina play!
